About Judy
Dievendorf and Company
After my 30th birthday, I decided to go back to school for a Masters Degree in Accounting at SUNY Albany, my alma mater. I entered the 2 year program in 1982 and graduated 2nd in my class in 1984. During the 1984 tax season I worked part time for a regional CPA firm, and realized that that world was not for me. I passed the CPA exam in 1986, but went to work for a single practitioner in 1987, after teaching accounting at an area community college. I also taught for Knowledge Network. In 1991, I purchased the practice from the man I worked for and started out on my own. In October of 1994, that business was incorporated, and became Dievendorf & Company, Tax and Business Consulting. In 2008, I sold that business to my son that worked with me, but, missing the autonomy and the work, I repurchased the personal and trust tax practice in November of 2010, and Ellis Alexander Consulting, d/b/a Dievendorf and Company was born. I have my securities and insurance licenses, and this knowledge helps me in business and estate planning, coming from a different direction. I am now in my 38th year of practice, and still love what I do!
